PIER XX1

walkway / 2019

PIER XX1 is a project realised to recover a neglected area close to the Royal Victoria Docks (West London). The structure is the encounter between jetties and traditional British Pleasure Piers, the two subjects of my MA research. The final design is a space for everyone, an oasis to relax, stroll and lose the conception of time.

CLIFFHANGER

cafe and study rooms / 215 mq / 2018

Cliffhanger is a three-floor building hosting many functions, responding to the necessities of the city in which is located (Varese). The project area is a private villa of the late 19 century. This space is now abandoned, so one of the aims was to recover the existing structure. The analyzed floor is the ground floor, where there is a cafe and four study rooms. The challenge was to use the cinematographic technique of cliffhanger as a design method to create a location full of suspense.

ROARING GYM

gym / 488 mq / 2017

Roaring Gym is located inside the university campus and it has been projected to give the students the opportunity to train in a unique place: an urban jungle. Indeed, in the gym we can find the fusion between the elements of the city and of the jungle.

The gym equipment allows you to practice three sports: bouldering, calisthenics and aerial yoga. Every discipline requires a different kind of ability and energy, so the gym can welcome everyone.

In this project the focus is on two themes: the layers and the paths.

LOPEZ 8

common space of a block of flats / 68 mq / 2016

The rooms that once were the house of the caretaker now became a laboratory for the restoration of old and broken furniture. Next to the lab area there’s a little living room where the fixed furniture is exposed, everyone can try it and it can be sold. The aim is to give a space to the neighborhood where people can socialize and learn how to collaborate.

The project style has been inspired by the designer Ettore Sottsass.

REVERSE

Vans event during the Milano Fuorisalone / 200 mq / 2018

Starting from the slogan "off the wall", the project has been developed around the concept of interactive walls that bring people next to the brand values. All the activities associated with the walls have been chosen to let the brand pillars come out. Another aspect that characterize the space is the focus on the changing of perspective and never let the first view of the things be the one we have to believe in.

LIGHTNING ANALYSIS

modelling and rendering of a living room / 2017

In this project it has been modelled an existing room with a new illumination project, followed by a technical test made with the software 3Ds Max. Every lamp had all the photometric solid data assigned to obtain pictures as realistic as possible. It was also necessary a study of how the materials react to the lights and translate these informations in values in the software. The following images show the interaction of the natural and artificial light with different materials. The technical analysis is represented by false colour images.
